I cant believe the words coming out of my own mouth sometimes. I swore there would never be a day I would take my own flesh and blood to an Ole Miss game, much less one where I'm not even drug by my partner Rebel himself. I ate my words. That's for sure!!! Honestly, we have had a good time at the games. With Samuel going to school there it really doesn't seem like such a bad place after all. Seeing him, well, it eases the pain. Rose, on the other hand, thought going to a football game was fantastic!!! I have decided I might be just a Mississippi Fan...

A MESSY AFFAIR

ROSE'S PUMPKIN PAINTING PARTY

Well, I decided that Rose was getting old enough to invite friends over to play, and that I needed to jump on the cool mommy train of hosting her some activities. So, I invited all of her future classmates over for a mother/daughter playdate. I figured my house was already decorated from Mark's party so I might as well "double dip" ya know???

She and all of her friends had a wonderful time! It turned out to be 8 of them. I fear her class is all girls. There was one little boy riding solo at the party, but he will be a grade behind. It was so funny to watch them with all the paint and decorations. You could see their little thoughts flash across their minds before they ever acted on it. Like "oh.... this is a pretty color ... lets see if I can paint her shoes???" or "Green hair would look great on you... lets paint your hair" or "I wonder if my pumpkin likes pizza, lets paint the pizza and then eat it?" So much fun, but such a mess!!!!! I really am loving this age! It just keeps getting better!!!!

IT'S DIRTY TO TURN THIRTY

MARK'S 30TH BIRTHDAY BASH...

I pulled it off. Its over. Hallelujah! He says he was suspicious and that he knew I was up to something! He says he had an idea I was getting people together at the house, and he says he thought it was odd Darly was gone when he came home from work, or that his friends were determined to play golf after it rained.... However, Upon Marks arrival, he took a leak in the driveway... and I do know him a little better than that! If he "knew" there was 70 people on the other side of the fence, then there is no way he would have dropped his drawers for a quick pee beforehand. He later told me he thought I had something planned Saturday night, then he figured I had invited a few people over for dinner and that was the surprise. Even his highest suspicions couldn't have prepared him for a band, catered food, decorations, flower arrangements, and 70 people!!! The boy has some friends - I give him that!!! We had a fantastic turn out! I thought everything turned out great, and I felt like Mark was very appreciative. Good Job Cassey!!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!

It did get dark pretty early though, and so I dont have that great of pictures.  Everyone was outside, and my much prepared for solar lightening that was installed, obvioulsy didnt work... Oh well....
