I AM NOT A HERO. JUST A MOM.
(HEROES ARE THE REASON I ACTUALLY GOT TO SPEND
MEMORIAL DAY WITH MY LOVES)
I really thought it would be a fun weekend get-a-way to take the girls to Houston to see Rachael. Mark had to work, and I don't have the personality to just sit around at home. To be honest, I never gave a moments hesitation about taking my girls with me. They are my children. They go where I go. I can handle them.... Originally I was going to fly, but rule of thumb at the airport is one lap child per adult... and Mark was not going so I could not legally have two (twins) lap babies (and the price of tickets was too high to buy that many) so I decided to drive. Plus, even for "superheroes".. Navigating through an airport with three small children and 3 carseats, strollers, a pack n play, diaper bag, IPad, clothes (because i refuse to pay 25$ to check a bag), and everything else all these babies require... HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MUCH JUNK YOU NEED WHEN YOU TRAVEL WITH KIDS... GEEZ... Rachael's mom went with me and was a huge help! However, as soon as the first Facebook Photo was posted... the general public started the freak-out-parade and the calls and texts starting pouring in....
Here are just a few of the comments I got this weekend:
"Are you in Houston?"
"OMG did you take ALL THREE girls with you?"
"OMG did you take ALL THREE girls with you?"
"Mark let you leave and go that far with all HIS kids?"
"Are you crazy?"
"Do you have superhero powers or something?"
and my personal three favorite....
"So glad those kids are yours and not mine"
"Why on earth would you put yourself through that....?"
"You have no body to blame but yourself for that disaster..."
So - with that being said ......
I AM SO GLAD THEY ARE MINE AND NOT YOURS TOO.

I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME HAVING FIVE WHOLE ENTIRE DAYS WITH MY THREE PRECIOUS GIRLS! MOMMY-AND-ME TIME. THE ONLY CRAZY I AM IS CRAZY IN LOVE WITH MY GIRLS.
