AND A VISIT WITH AUNT LIB
We had a great weekend in Huntsville. I will say that it was definitely a long way for such a short stay. It was nice to see Aunt Libby. It has been so long since she has seen most of us, and her first time to meet the one and only ROSE! Rose did well ... as well as a 15 month can do with no DVD player and a 6 hour car ride. I was rushed to "load up" and "get going" so in all the chaos - I left the diaper bag, the cooler, the DVD player, her toys, and all of her sleeping buddies.... PARTY FOUL!!!! But, it turned out fine... I mean we didn't really have a choice. We stopped at a Dollar General to buy diapers, wipes, and snacks. We rode with the windows down and the music blaring - that somewhat over compensated for the movie being non-existent, and Rose played on the i-pad - to which I downloaded another Mickey Movie. We made do. We ate a Rosie's Mexican Cantina. That was neat, considering it is owned by a guy who is from Indianola and his business partner is my mom's first cousin. Her cousin owns the "Little" Rosie's Cantina. A day trip to NASA - which was way too much to take in for one morning. Rose enjoyed the Kids Cosmos Center. She did good, as good as a 15 month can do in a space exhibit. I thoroughly enjoyed the museum. We also took, what I like to call, a Field Trip to Harmony Park. It was kinda like a drive-thru zoo if you can picture that in your mind. Some animals you could pet, others I was a little nervous about... Rose was in awwww of all the animals right in her face. She even rode the turtle. It wasn't the most pleasant experience she has ever had, but how many times in your life do you get to ride a turtle???? Most every tortoise there seemed to follow her. At first I thought that was sweet... they must like kids, then it hit me that those little snappers may just think my Rosie (all dressed in her green) was just one giant piece of lettuce... eeekkkk....ROSIE'S MEXICAN CANTINA
