ARIEL, SEBASTIAN, AND FLOUNDER
Halloween 2016
A few things we learned this Halloween....
- Rose does not look great as a red-head and we will steer clear from that color option in the future
- The Twins will ALWAYS differ on EVERYTHING.... If Mills is Sebastian, Maryn wants to be Sebastian. If Maryn is Flounder, Mills wants to be flounder... You will notice that throughout the Halloween season, the twins swapped costumes by the day
- Everybody understands that Rose is boss. Always. Nobody wanted to be Ariel and there was an unspoken understanding that Rose was Ariel and the Main Mermaid.
- Due to an increasing independence in my precious Millie girl, I do fear that this will be the last year that a "theme" costume will be available. I will definitely push strongly and heavily encourage more themes in the future, but i feel in my heart of hearts it probably wont happen. For several reasons, Mills needs it to be her idea. Maryn wants the best costume. Rose needs to be the lead character. To make all three of those criteria fit will be extremely hard. I also notice that as they play "house" and "daycare" that instead of Rose being the mommy or the teacher, now everybody is a mommy and a teacher.... and when they got into the costumes last week (January now) Mills was superwoman, Rose was Tinkerbell, and Maryn was a flower. Clearly, these do not correlate....
