YOU'VE BEEN SPOOKED !!!

HALLOWEEN CRAFTS

The moms in our running circle get a little over-the-top when it comes to anonymous chains from family to family (kid to kid really).  We jump at the opportunity to do something fun for someone else's kids then get the favor returned.  I mean really... Nothing is more exciting than fun mail or having an anonymous package left at our front door.  Let me give a few examples....  We have the book chain.  Rose gets a book in the mail and then I take her to buy a "friend" a book.  She wraps it and delivers it to a "friend" who then in turn will go buy a book for another friend.  I always try to let Rose pick her own friend and remind her who she already gave to.  We get books all the time... and we keep on giving....  We have done this with Valentines Day crafts, Christmas boxes, etc.... the list goes on and on. 

This Halloween someone started the "YOU'VE BEEN SPOOKED" Halloween goodies basket chain.  Rose came home Sunday night to a sack full of Halloween candy, stickers, glow in the dark skeletons, ring pops, spider rings, and candy corn.  As soon as I got off work on Monday Rose was already asking "Ween Cwafts Mommy, Ween Cwafts"...  a.k.a. for lets go buy my Halloween crafts.  Rose (and her mommy) went a little overboard - I let Rose pick FOUR friends to make baskets for.  Honestly, we have just as much fun as Rose does with these projects.  Even Mark gets super excited to make a mess!  However, having a pregnant mother who likes to be asleep the minute the sun goes down, and a daddy who is little slow when it comes to driving a get-a-way car, Rose very rarely gets to pull off a SPOOK without her friend knowing who SPOOKED them.  Oh well.... its still loads of fun!!!
