WE SURVIVIED

IT HAS BEEN A WILD RIDE BUT WE ARE FINALLY (slowly) ENTERING BACK INTO REALITY AND OUT OF THE ZOMBIE LAND WE HAVE BEEN VACATIONING IN FOR THE LAST 3 MONTHS.

MILLS:
Height:  2 ft, 0.5 inches (45%)
Weight: 12 pounds, 5.5 ounces (15%)
Head Circumference:  15.35 in (9%)
Heart Rate:  152 bpm
BMI:  14.79

The girls are doing GREAT!!!  Honestly, the last few months are still just a blur.  However, I can truthfully say that things are getting easier.  They are sleeping ALL NIGHT.  Every once in a while Maryn will wake up and take a bottle around 3:30 or so but that is only like maybe once a week.  We are going 3 weeks straight of the sleeping all night!  Mark and I have really been blessed in the sleeping category.  We hear horror stories of how kids don't sleep all night until they are literally like 2 years old and ALL THREE of our girls have been sleeping through the night by 4 months old.  It makes a world of difference in the atmosphere of our house when all tenants are well rested :)

Maryn is still a little more laid back than Mills is.  Mills is not bad or difficult by any means but she knows what she wants - and 90% of the time that is to be up and active.  Just sitting on the sofa seems to hush her up.  She has no desire to lay on her back all day and look at the ceiling.  Who would??? Mills just has a little more of a Type A personality, and Maryn on the other hand, well... does not. Maryn seems to enjoy the simple life of laying in the Nap Nanny and watching TV.  She is definitely my happiest child; however, she is also my most temperamental child.  She can get madder than a wet cat - and will hold her breath and turn blue and clench her fist and most of the time I have no idea what made her so mad....

Maryn has found her tongue and entertains herself by sticking it out and holding it with her fingers... I'm constantly pushing her tongue back in and saying "don't put your fingers in your mouth."  Maryn is more fragile than Mills.  Any little thing rocks her cradle.  She does not like tummy time and is not really a fan of being required to do any activity.  She is getting better on the play mat but wont stay down there nearly as long as Mills will.  Maryn is totally the snuggler of my bunch.  That kid can find a neck to wiggle her nose into.  She will cover her face with burp cloths and blankets and loves the feeling of security - very unlike her sister who wants to watch every. single. thing.

Mills is Soooooooo  Close to rolling over.....  She LOVES the play mat and will actually play for hours (YES, I said HOURS) on the mat.  Kicking, turning in circles, and trying so hard to roll.  Bath time is still her favorite time of day.  Of all three of my girls, Mills is the BEST sleeper. She is also the most observant.  I feel like Mills is very aware of her surroundings and recognizes voices with 100% certainty.  She has always been that way though.  I remember in the hospital her heart rate would jump so high when Mark would talk to her that we would get in trouble for "over stimulating" her.  On one occasion,  it was so bad that we were asked not to touch or talk to her.

We are finally into a routine that works for everyone.  I go to the gym at 5:30 so Mark takes the 6 am feed (or whenever they wake up - lately its getting later and later).  Lizzie arrives around 7:30 am and takes over so I can finish getting ready for work.  I take Lizzie home and do the 6 pm feed.  We are being forced to both pitch in for bath time and supper time.  The main difference is that with one kid someone always get a break.  With three kids - NOBODY GETS A BREAK.  Its constant...  ALL THE TIME.  Feed. Burp. Bathe. Start over ... times THREE.  And if your lucky enough to catch 15 minutes in the afternoon when they are ALL THREE NAPPING....  well, honey child...  you just hit the freaking JACKPOT!!!!
